Audio Architex (“we”, “us” or “our”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information.

This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect through the Audio Architex online store, how we use and protect it, and what rights you have in relation to it.

This Policy is intended to comply with the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA) and other applicable South African law.

We collect personal information that you provide to us directly, including when you:

• create an order or complete checkout on our website;
• contact us by email, phone or WhatsApp, or via the Build Your Setup or enquiry forms; or
• otherwise correspond with us.

This may include your name, delivery and billing address, email address, phone number, order and product details, and any other information you choose to share with us.

We do not intentionally collect special categories of personal information (such as health or biometric data) through our online store.

Card and other payment details are collected and processed directly by our payment provider, Peach Payments, on their own secure payment page.

Audio Architex does not receive or store your full card number, expiry date or CVV — we only receive confirmation of whether a payment succeeded, together with a reference we use to match it to your order.

We use your personal information to:

• process, fulfil and deliver your order, including arranging courier collection and delivery;
• communicate with you about your order, including confirmations, delivery updates and any issues that arise;
• respond to enquiries, quote requests and support questions;
• maintain our own business records, including for accounting, tax and warranty purposes; and
• comply with our legal obligations and protect against fraud or misuse of our website.

We do not use your personal information for automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects on you.

We share your personal information only where reasonably necessary to operate our business, including with:

• Peach Payments, to process your payment;
• our courier and delivery partners, to arrange collection and delivery of your order (this typically includes your name, delivery address and phone number);
• product manufacturers or their South African distributors, where required to process a warranty claim on your behalf;
• Google, which provides the website analytics and advertising measurement described in section 6 (this never includes your name, contact details or delivery address); and
• professional advisors, auditors or regulators, where required by law.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties, and we do not share it for third-party marketing purposes.

Your shopping cart is stored in your browser (locally on your device) so that it persists between visits.

Staff signing in to our Backoffice administration area use a session cookie to stay signed in.

Our online store also uses Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics and Google Ads to understand how visitors use the site and to measure our advertising, for example whether an advert led to a purchase. These Google services set cookies and collect information such as the pages you visit, the products you view, add to your cart and buy (products, prices and an order reference), and technical details such as your device, browser and approximate location.

We do not give Google your name, email address, phone number or delivery address.

Google handles this information under its own privacy policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy). You can block or delete cookies in your browser's settings, opt out of Google Analytics with Google's browser add-on (https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout), and manage personalised ads at https://myadcenter.google.com.

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect the personal information we hold against loss, misuse, unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration or destruction.

Access to customer and order information is restricted to staff who reasonably need it to fulfil orders and support customers.

No method of transmission or storage over the internet is completely secure; while we work to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfil the purposes described in this Policy, including to service any applicable product warranty, and to meet our legal, accounting and tax record-keeping obligations.

Where information is no longer needed for these purposes, we will take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify it.

Subject to applicable law, you have the right to:

• request confirmation of, and access to, the personal information we hold about you;
• request that we correct or update inaccurate or incomplete information;
• request that we delete personal information we no longer have a lawful basis to hold;
• object to the processing of your personal information in certain circumstances; and
• lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator of South Africa if you believe we have not handled your information lawfully.
